The 21st century is characterized by the availability of abundant information, stunning scientific and technological advances, unprecedented socio-economic challenges and an amazing cultural resurgence. Technology has indubitably brought along unique opportunities to explore and experiment in the world of education as digital presentations are excellent ways to engage students on their terms enabling them to have a cognitive advantage in tapping online what is called 'collective intelligence'.
However, even in the technology-driven 21st century, where access to information is no longer a challenge; one must not forget that being able to 'google' can never replace the value and joy of learning. Students still need to know and understand the history that brought them where they are today and be adequately exposed to man's greatest artistic and scientific achievements. Schools need to develop in students an appreciation for arts and aesthetics and bring exponential enrichment through close encounters with great literature on one hand and great 'minds' on the other.
DPS Deoband will surely create an environment where alongside academics, moral values and a feeling of ‘service before self’ will be inculcated in every child . We believe that every child is unique and hence provide a variety of opportunities to the students, be it arts or music, science or history or sports. Continuous and consistent review of curriculum and pedagogy in accordance with new education policy will definitely ensure that we follow the most updated and best teaching practices. We empower our students from an early age to take the centre stage, ask questions, research, explore and find answers and thus making them independent thinkers. The school provides the latest technology-based digital devices to keep pace with the most advanced teaching practices and methodology. To conclude, I would like to reiterate my belief with this quote by Henry Ford,”If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself”. So let’s all join hands to take off our children on this journey to higher orbits of excellence .
